RANCH CAMP FAQ

how much does camp cost?

The cost for camp is $149.00 per week and includes all activities, lunch, T-shirt, and craft supplies. Camp fees are refundable (less a $10 processing fee) but only if the cancellation is received seven days prior to the start of the camp, but non-refundable beyond this date. Registrations are on a first-come, first serve basis. A late fee of $10 will be applied to all registrations received 7 days or less from the start of the camp you will be attending.

Drop off/Pick up Times

Children can be dropped off at the ranch between 8:30-9:00 each morning. They can be picked up anytime between 4:00-4:30 PM.

What should my child wear?

Plan to wear comfortable but modest clothing. Wear tennis shoes that you don’t mind getting wet or dirty. It would be a good idea to come each day with insect repellent and sunscreen already applied. Boys will enjoy the Glenwood Aquatic Center on Wednesday afternoon, girls on Thursday. Plan to bring modest swimwear and towel on the day you will be visiting the aquatic center. Certified Ada City lifeguards will be on duty. This facility is perfect for non swimmers and advanced swimmers alike. Parents are welcomed to attend.

what if my child has special dietary needs?

Healthy, kid-pleasing meals will be served each day during lunch. Please contact the ranch to arrange for special dietary meals ordered by your physician. You must inform the camp of any food allergies not listed on your child’s registration form.

do i need to pack snacks?

The Snack Shack will be open each day during free time at 2:45. Soft drinks, candy, chips, etc. will be available for your child to purchase. Most items are $1.00-$1.50. We recommend you place your child's money in a small zip locked bag with your child's name written on a card or paper inside the bag. We will collect these at the start of the day and distribute during free time.

What will kids learn every day?

The theme for all five weeks is “Adventures In Science.” With the help of our very own science professor, Professor Stone, we’ll discover some of the greatest wonders, mysterious elements and miraculous events of the Bible. Daily lessons include Creation, Joshua and the day the earth stood still, a man called Jonah who was swallowed by a huge fish and lived to tell about it, and a story about a man named Nicodemus who was told he had to be “born again.”

can we bring cell phones or other electronics?

Please do not bring personal electronic devices such as cell phones, MP3 players and game devices. Knives are also not permitted.

What if I do not feel comfortable with an activity?

If you object to your child participating in any of the camp activities under staff supervision, please let us know or they will be included. We encourage but never force a child to participate in any activity.

May I join my child and how do i get to the ranch?

Guest are welcomed during our large group activities at Cornerstone Kids’ Ranch provided they check in with authorities at the lodge. There is an additional fee of $5 per person for guests to have lunch with campers.

How Are Children divided into small groups?

On the first day of camp, children are allowed to buddy up with anyone they wish of the same sex and join one of four teams. We want children to experience Ranch Camp with friends of their own choosing.
